• John Power

    John Power was raised in a Christ-centered home in South Florida and East Tennessee. He put his faith in Christ at a very young age. John first began at the age of 15 to discern that God was preparing him for a life of service in the local church. After college in East Tennessee, he interned at Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington, DC. John studied for the MDiv at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. He has been deeply influenced by the teaching and preaching of men like John Piper, Tom Schreiner, and Mark Dever, among many others. And he considers it a great joy to be called to proclaim the gospel in New England.

    John is married to his best friend Liz, and together they have been blessed with four crazy boys: Eliot, Timmy, Luke and Judson.

  • Joe Hooper

    Joe came to Christ in junior high when a friend shared the gospel with him. He has been a part of the Winthrop Street Baptist Church family since 1987. He joined the staff and church membership in 1989. He has served in his current role as the Youth Pastor since 1999. In addition to student ministry, Joe has served the church through children’s ministry, technology and media ministry, missions and more. He resides in Taunton.

  • Justin Jeffrey

    Justin realized he needed Jesus as his Savior in 1997 after attending Grace Gospel’s “Heaven’s Gate, Hell’s Fire,” a play about the afterlife. He and his wife Karen joined Winthrop Street Baptist Church in 2007, and have served in various capacities, including children’s and family ministries and small group ministries. They have three children and live in Taunton.

  • Bob Macomber

    After being influenced by a friend at work, Bob began reading the gospel of Matthew where he encountered Jesus Christ as his savior. He publicly went forward in1983 to accept Jesus with his wife Michelle at an evangelistic event hosted by an associate of Billy Graham. Soon after, Bob and Michelle landed at Winthrop Street Baptist Church, where they have been ever since. Bob has served the church through teaching and small group ministry. Bob and his wife live in Taunton and have four adult children.
